Australia's Equity Trustees Appoints Industry Veteran To Lead Equities Business

Equity Trustees, the Australian wealth management and estate planning firm, has named an industry veteran to head its equities arm.

Paul Kasian brings over 25 years of industry experience to the position and most recently served as executive director and chief investment officer at Accordius, a privately-owned personal funds management business.

Prior to that, he was the CIO at First Samuel and held various senior positions at HSBC Global Asset Management. His addition to the Equity Trustees team was through the recommendation of George Boubouras, a former colleague who joined the company in early 2013 from UBS Wealth Management.

Equity Trustees records around A$28 billion ($26.5 billion) in funds under management.
