The California-based firm has boosted its investment offering for financial advisors.

AssetMark has teamed up with Capital Group, the investment management firm and provider of American Funds, to add six American Funds Model Portfolios to its platform.

The six portfolios designed to meet three common investment objectives – balance, preservation and growth – are aimed at AssetMark's advisors and their clients, specifically those seeking core market exposure for long-term returns.

“We are also committed to helping advisors thrive in a post-DOL rule world and thrilled that American Funds is working with us to help advisors,” said Natalie Wolfsen, chief commercialization officer at AssetMark.

Bill Brady, senior vice president for wealth management at Capital Group, added: “Each model portfolio represents a broadly diversified blend of individual, actively-managed American Funds with low expenses, a proven track record and a historically strong investment management process.” 

AssetMark has around $31.2 billion in assets on its platform.
