Ascentric Bolsters Business Development Team

Ascentric, the UK wrap platform, has added Matt Nelson and Lester Curley to its business development team as business development manager for the north and sales development director respectively.
Nelson previously worked for HSBC Global Asset Management, Sun Life Financial of Canada, Winterthur and NPI, while Curley was latterly a regional director at Russell Investments, having been investment manager for the Midlands at Standard Life before that.
In other recent hires, towards the end of last month Ascentric appointed Philip Gilder and Jason Owen to newly-created roles in its propositions team.
Gilder is an internal appointment, his old role being that of head of client services for Ascentric’s white label business, IFDL. He became head of proposition delivery and is responsible for the creation, maintenance and delivery of Ascentric’s “proposition roadmap”.
Owen joined as head of propositions development from HSBC, where was a senior proposition development manager in the commercial wealth management business. He will be responsible for ensuring that the platform’s strategy reflects the needs of Ascentric users and third-party providers.
