Arbuthnot Latham Expands UK Operation
The firm has appointed five members to its operation in the UK, including a new head of wealth planning.
UK private bank Arbuthnot Latham

transformation director, Nick Bailey as managing director of
business development, Andy Rushmer as head of information and
cyber security, a newly-created role, and Colin MacKenzie as a
director of investment management at its London office.
Moore has 25 years’ experience in the wealth industry. He has
held a number of senior roles at Barclays Wealth, Hargreaves
Lansdown, HSBC and most recently Coutts & Co, where he was
executive director in the private office.

industry. He was most recently chief technology director for
Shawbrook Bank.

He joins from Elixorr Partners, where he led a variety of
services for its clients across the UK, South Africa and the
US.
Rushmer joins Arbuthnot Latham from Shawbrook Bank, where he
helped deliver the bank’s IT architecture, IT security, cyber
strategy and risk appetite framework as head of IT.
MacKenzie has over 30 years’ investment experience. He was
previously at Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse Private Banking and
Coutts, where he was formerly an executive director and joint

This publication has contacted the firm to find
out whom the new hires have replaced, and will update
in due course.
The firm is not the only financial institution looking to expand
in the UK, as WealthBriefing has reported that
both UBS
and
Julius Baer will expand their Scotland segments.
In December, this publication interviewed Arbuthnot
Latham’s director and head of media and entertainment, Richard
Kay, who said it is aiming for clients outside of the English
Premier League.
Arbuthnot Latham, the London-based private bank,
has regional offices in Manchester, Bristol and Exeter and
an international branch in Dubai.
