Amundi Appoints New Investor Relations Head

The recently enlarged European asset manager has filled the role vacated by its investor relations head.
Amundi has appointed Anthony Mellor as head of investor relations and financial communication, replacing Cyril Meilland, who is joining Crédit Agricole as head of financial communication.
Based in Paris, Mellor started his career as a parliamentary attaché and held various financial positions at Air Liquide and AGF Asset Management (now Allianz Global Investors). In 2002, he joined the Bouygues Group, where he spent eight years in senior finance and investor relations roles. He joined Lagardère Group in 2010 as chief of investor relations.
The appointment follows that of Bruno Taillardat, who joined Amundi earlier this month in the newly-created role of head of smart beta.
As at the end of June 2016, Paris-headquartered Amundi had assets under management of over €1 trillion ($1.1 trillion) worldwide. It recently took an 87.5 per cent stake in Dublin-based asset management boutique Kleinwort Benson Investors, which was subsequently rebranded as KBI Global Investors to reflect the increasingly international scope of its business. Meanwhile, Amundi plans to boost its assets under management by around €5 billion by merging its real estate business with that of Crédit Agricole Immobilier, as reported in WealthBriefing today.
