The Switzerland-based firm has been expanding in Asia over recent years.

Alpadis Group, the Switzerland-based fiduciary services group, has appointed former Ocorian senior figure John Tan as new managing director of its business in Singapore. He will oversee the operation and administration of corporate, tax, and accounting services offered by Alpadis Group in the Asian city-state.

With 19 years of experience in trust and fiduciary planning and administration, Tan was previously managing director at Ocorian’s Singapore office, Alpadis said in a statement yesterday. Tan started his career at HSBC Trustee Singapore in 2004, subsequently working with an international French bank and a Swiss private bank. 

Tan holds a bachelor of business administration degree, majoring in finance, from RMIT University, Australia. He is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is fluent in English, Mandarin, and the Chinese dialects of Teochew and Hokkien.

In February last year Alpadis opened an office in Tokyo and a month before that, in Dubai. It also has offices in Thailand, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.
