Allianz Global Investors Boosts London Team

The asset management business of Germany's Allianz Group has made a double appointment to its London office.

Allianz Global Investors has hired Eugenia Jackson as senior governance specialist and ESG analyst, and Matthew Couzens as regional sales manager for London.

Jackson was previously associate director at F&C Investments and has over 10 years of responsible investment experience.

In the newly-created role, she will support the integration of environmental, social and governance factors into AllianzGI’s investment process as well as the firm’s stewardship activities, including corporate governance engagement and proxy voting. She wil report to Bozena Jankowska, the firm's global co-head of ESG.

Couzens joins from Canada Life Investments where he was sales director. He has 10 years of experience in the retail sales industry and will report to the firm's head of UK retail sales, Fraser Blain. Couzens replaces Daniel Lee.

Allianz Global Investors has 24 offices across 18 countries. It had over €427 billion ($477 billion) in assets under management for individuals, families and institutions worldwide as of the end of September 2015. In October last year, it emerged that AllianzGI's chief executive, Elizabeth Corley, will step down from her role in March 2016 and pass the reins to the firm's global chief investment officer, Andreas Utermann.
