Scotland-headquartered Alliance Trust Savings has added Damian Smyth as its new head of intermediary sales effective by 1 December.

Scotland-headquartered Alliance Trust Savings has added Damian Smyth as its new head of intermediary sales, with effect from 1 December.

In his new role, Smyth will lead the Alliance Trust Savings intermediary sales team and the development of the intermediary channel. 

Smyth joins from Cofunds where he spent more than 13 years in sales roles with his most recent role being head of the sales development team. He has also served in a variety of other sales roles including that of key account manager and regional account manager.

Alliance Trust Savings is a provider of SIPPs, ISAs and sharedealing accounts. As at 31 July 2013, the firm administered over £4.9 billion (about $7,8 billion) of assets.
