Pendo, a New York-based investment advisory for high net worth individuals and institutions, has gone live with two of the flagship wealth management products from Advent Software - Advent Portfolio Exchange, its portfolio and client relationship management platform, and Moxy, its trade order management system.

Pendo is a relatively recent entrant to the industry, having been launched three years ago, and as it developed the firm identified a need for a efficient, integrated platform which would allow it to grow with minimal incremental investment in technology or headcount, Advent said in a statement.

"Having a well integrated portfolio management and trading platform is crucial; importing and exporting data from APX to Moxy is a seamless process and on a daily basis saves us a huge amount of time and effort," said Tina Larsson, Pendo’s chief executive and lead portfolio manager.

"We started with just three people and have been able to retain the size of our operations because the technology is that good. We believe that we could grow from a $50 million to a billion-dollar firm with the same environment that we have now."

The past few months have been a busy time for Advent, with several developments emerging. In March, the firm announced its acquisition of Goya, a privately-owned Norwegian software firm, in a deal which means Advent can now offer Goya’s Tradex fund distribution. The month also saw Advent launch an enhanced version of Advent Portfolio Exchange.

Other recent sign-ups to Advent Portfolio Exchange include Caprinco Gestion, the Geneva-based asset manageme, and London-based Evercore Pan-Asset Capital Management.
