Accountancy Giant Appoints New Head Of Insurance

KPMG has made Hieronymus Dormann head of the insurance division at KPMG Switzerland.
Dormann has been with KPMG since 1985 and will use his experience of auditing and advising insurance companies, when helping national and international clients with insurance-related issues.
Taking up the position on 1 October 2013, Dormann replaces Brian Greig, who is returning to KPMG Australia. His responsibilities include managing services for insurance companies, such as audit duties, assessing regulation issues, actuarial and quantitative risk management and providing advice on tax, legal and operational matters.
Dormann became a partner at the firm in 1997, serving as head of audit financial services until 2003. He is also a member of the Treuhand-Kammer (Switzerland’s institute for certified accountants), and currently chairs its specialist insurance commission.
