Aberdeen Makes Double Appointment After Property Asset Management Boss Exits

The London-listed asset manager has promoted Simon Moscow and Stephen Walker following the departure of Giles Easter.
Aberdeen Asset Management's property business has promoted Simon Moscow to head of asset management for the UK and Stephen Walker to deputy head of asset management as its head of asset management, Giles Easter, steps down.
Moscow, who joined Aberdeen in 2008, will replace Easter, who has left the firm “to pursue interests elsewhere in the industry”, the firm said. Previously head of retail asset management in the UK, he takes on the new Edinburgh-based role to oversee the team’s asset allocation.
Walker, head of Edinburgh asset management for the UK property team, has also been with the firm for seven years. He will continue to head up the Edinburgh team, while helping Moscow drive Aberdeen’s UK property business.
“Simon and Stephen bring nearly 30 years of experience to their roles and I am confident they will continue to grow the business in the years to come. It is a mark of the firm’s ability to foster the best talent that we have been able to recruit these positions from within the business,” said the head of asset management and transactions, property, Tonny Nielsen.
The firm managed property funds of around £10.5 billion ($16.3 billion) in the UK as of 31 March 2015.
