ANZ Private Bank Appoints Southeast Asia Head From UOB
ANZ Private Bank has appointed Kevin Ong as head of Southeast Asia, this publication can confirm. He will be based in Singapore, reporting to Manfred Liechti, global head of the private bank.

Bank has appointed Kevin Ong as head of Southeast Asia, this
publication can confirm. He will be based in Singapore, reporting
to Manfred Liechti, global head of the private bank.
Ong, who has worked in the private banking sector for quarter of
a century, previously worked at UOB Private Bank, holding the
post of executive director, head of sales, business development
and marketing. Before that, Ong was at DBS, Citibank, ABN AMRO
and Banque Worms.
Also joining the bank is Amresh Acharya who has been appointed as
the Market Head NRI and will focus on growing the private banking
footprint with Non-Resident Indian clients.
Acharya joins ANZ from the World Gold Council in Mumbai, where he was responsible for their investments in India. He previously worked for ANZ Grindlays,Deutsche Bank and Coutts. He will be based in Singapore and report to Keving Ong.
In another move, James Dellborg joins the firm’s global business
management team to drive development of the private banking
operations in Asia. He previously worked at Coutts, working in
the affluent wealth section, and has held different roles at
Royal Bank of Scotland.
Also based in Singapore, his role includes managing the client
experience, business initiatives and analytics. Dellborg reports
to Mario Bassi, who is head of global business management.
Among recent moves, ANZ bolstered its global banking business with a senior appointment. Sameer Sawhney, currently the managing director of global transaction banking, was named head of global banking, international and institutional banking, based in Singapore.
