ABN AMRO Confirms New Risk Officer
The risk chief has worked in the banking sector for almost 25 years.
ABN AMRO has
confirmed that Serena Fioravanti (pictured) will be
the chief risk officer from 1 October for a four-year term.
The bank unveiled the news yesterday following an extraordinary
meeting of shareholders.
Fioravanti’s appointment – initially announced on 7 August –
was subject to regulatory clearance and discussion with the
bank’s shareholders and depository receipt holders. Both
conditions have been met, the Dutch bank said in a
statement.
The new CRO brings almost 25 years of experience in the banking
sector, with a focus on risk management, treasury, liquidity risk
management, corporate finance, project management and audit.
Prior to her appointment, Caroline Oosterloo, who had
succeeded Tanja Cuppen, served in the interim CRO
role. The latter served two terms as the CRO and left the
bank in April.
