This year is likely to be another bumper year for wealth managers, or at least that is what the majority of you said in WealthBriefing’s latest poll, which asked the question: Is 2006 likely to be a bumper year for wealth managers as 2005 has been? Sixty-six per cent answered Yes to the question, whereas only 17 per cent said No. Rather sensibly – in view of the danger of making long-term predictions – 17 per cent of the poll respondents said they Don’t Know to the question. Wealth mangers will be hoping that the healthy rise in European stock markets will continue throughout 2006, against the background of low interest rates. These factors, amongst others, underpinned the strong growth among many wealth mangers in 2005.
