New Partner At London Legal, Fiduciary Firm; More Hires To Follow

Maitland, the London-headquartered legal and fiduciary firm, has appointed Daniel Mackelden as a partner in its legal advisory group.

Mackelden latterly headed up the London office of Cains, the offshore law firm. Prior to joining Cains he worked for Walkers, having originally trained at Linklaters.

In his new role he will work across Maitland’s private client, corporate commercial and investment funds practice groups to strengthen ties with existing and new clients, along with continuing with fee-earning, the firm said in a statement.

“We have undertaken an extensive executive search which generated a very strong list of candidates. Daniel is an experienced international lawyer with an excellent track record in business development and personal attributes to work with the team of talented partners and associates across our business areas to continue its success and growth plans,” said Steve Georgala, managing director of Maitland.

Maitland additionally said that it would be making similar strategic hires in the coming months.
