The Duke of Westminster unveiled a plaque on Wednesday to officially open UK law firm Boodle Hatfield’s new London office in Bankside, situated near the River Thames in Southwark.

Boodle Hatfield moved to its new offices in Bankside and Mayfair in July. The firm also has an office in Oxford.

Boodle Hatfield has acted as the estate manager for the Grosvenor family, which is headed by the Duke of Westminster, continuously since 1722.

“I would like to extend our thanks to the Duke of Westminster for taking the time to open our new offices. Boodle Hatfield and Grosvenor’s relationship extends back almost 300 years,” said Richard Maughan, Boodle Hatfield’s senior partner.

“Both firms have grown significantly since then and we are delighted that we continue to work closely with Grosvenor advising them on a wide range of projects across Mayfair and Belgravia which remain two of the most desirable places to live and work in the world today,” Maughan added.

James Dakin, a partner at Boodle Hatfield, recently discussed in this publication the allure of London prime property for family offices. For more on this article, click here.
