BNP Paribas Launches New Virtual Reality-Based Solutions

The Parisian lender has been investing heavily into the burgeoning sector of financial technology.
Paris-based lender BNP
Paribas has announced its new Virtual Reality-based
services designed to improve customer relations. The bank has
been expanding its financial technology output over the past few
months, recently launching a set of lifestyle apps for its
customers.
Virtual Reality technology will be used within several of the
bank’s business including retail banking, real estate and
insurance, with aims to reach out to more customers, the firm
said yesterday in a statement.
Through the use of new tools solutions, BNP Paribas is giving its
customers the opportunity to incorporate VR into the way they
handle their accounts and to help with decision-making.
The three new solutions include; a retail banking VR-based app
which will give customers the steps of banking in Virtual
Reality, a real estate teleportation capsule designed to allow
customers to port themselves into a new home or building and view
it in 3D, and lastly a mobile protect VR tool which raises
customers’ awareness to the benefits of insuring the mobile
devices which are valuable in their lives.
“Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality tools will gradually
become part of our customers’ daily lives, providing new kinds of
interfaces between our various publics and our services,” said
