LG Defector Garnham To Head Family Bhive

Caroline Garnham, who left LG last week after a conflict of interests, has been confirmed as managing director of Family Bhive, a website for the ultra high net worth industry.
Private client lawyer Garnham founded the website about two years ago and has worked on it ever since but will now lead it on a full-time basis.
“The website has become too prominent and with my profile rising at Family Bhive it became rather difficult to stay at LG,” Garnham told Wealthbriefing.
Garnham joined the UK law firm, formerly known as Lawrence Graham, as a partner in 2006, with her four-strong private capital client team from London-based law firm Simmons & Simmons.
Family Bhive plans to expand and one new development is a site for mobile devices launched at the end of last week. “We have been listening to members this year and what 91 per cent want is expert opinion, and when they have time to read it is when they are travelling and waiting for airplanes,” she said.
Garnham also has plans for international expansion in 2012, starting with Zurich and Monaco, and moving on to Asia and Latin America. “We have already key individuals in those places and the goal is to start up offices next year,” she said.
So far, the company has been focused on the wealth managers and private banks, but it will now be looking to target the luxury lifestyle and philanthropic sectors.
