Quality of life, family needs and business interests are, respectively, the most crucial causes for concern among millionaires who left their birth country in search of success, findings from a new report show. Private banks and other firms catering to high net worth clients have snapped up a large chunk of new renminbi-denominated debt recently, attracted by valuations and long-term potential as an asset class, Nikko Asset Management says. But while the RMB-based debt market has come a long way in a short period of time as a market, investors still demand a premium when compared to equivalent US debt maturities, which may seem perplexing given the US’s immense fiscal woes, the firm said in a presentation to journalists yesterday. Move over China, there's a new rich kid in town. Indonesia has the fastest growing wealth market in the world, according to a new study from data provider WealthInsight. As of 2011, there were just over 37,400 high net worth individuals in Indonesia, with a combined wealth of US$241 billion.
