Cardinal Appoints Wealth Management Services Head

Cardinal Bank has appointed John Mockoviak as executive vice president and president of Wealth Management Services. He will be responsible for all the company’s wealth management units including Cardinal Trust and Investments, Wilson/Bennett Capital Management and Cardinal Wealth Services. Mr Mockoviak joins from BB&T where he was group director of Wealth Management in Florida, Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Maryland. He was a founding member of the senior management team for Wealth Management at BB&T. From 1995 to 2003, he was the chief trust executive for First Virginia Banks. NASDAQ-listed Cardinal Bank is headquartered in Tysons Corner, Virginia, and serves the Washington Metropolitan region. It includes Cardinal Trust and Investment Services, with $6.2 billion in managed and custodial assets, brokerage Cardinal Wealth Services and Wilson/Bennett Capital Management, an asset management company.
