Pennsylvania-based multi-family office Pitcairn has appointed Barbara Hauser to the boards of both Pitcairn Company and Pitcairn Trust Company as an independent director. Ms Hauser recently joined Stanford Group Suisse as senior advisor in its Private Wealth Advisory Unit, where she works closely with ultra high net worth families in Europe, the Gulf Region, Israel, India, South America, and Asia. She previously served as the director of Family Wealth Advisory Services for Citigroup Family Office in New York. “Barbara understands our business and the complex needs of the families we serve,” said Dirk Jungé, Pitcairn chairman and chief executive officer. Ms Hauser also sits on the executive council of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law, the governing board of the Union Internationale des Avocats and is president emeritus of the International Estate Planning Commission. Pitcairn is a privately held multi-family office dedicated to helping clients protect and grow their financial assets and family heritage. Established as a single family office in 1923 to preserve the wealth and resources of the descendants of John Pitcairn, co-founder of Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company, it now has 94 client relationships, including 34 multi-generational families. Pitcairn works with families and their advisors from two offices in Pennsylvania and a third in Virginia.
