Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch, one of the largest independent firms of private bankers in Switzerland and in Europe, will open a representative office in Dubai. LODH will use the office to service clients that include private individuals and families, corporate institutions and financial intermediaries. As a family firm with the seventh generation at its helm, LODH sees itself as a natural partner for the numerous successful and growing family businesses in the region. “Because LODH has always run its own business from generation to generation, we share the values of other family-owned businesses: individual commitment, high ethical standards, an eye to the long term and a sense of responsibility,” said Thierry Lombard, senior managing partner. “Our independence has been a key assurance to many of our family-owned business owners. They have full confidence in our freedom to judge in their best interests and offer them what is close to their hearts. And that is, to preserve and grow the assets that they entrust to us, and to help them pass these assets down to future generations.” The team in Dubai will be headed by Pasha Bakhtiar. “Our specialists speak nine languages fluently and specialize in advising and managing the wealth of large families throughout the Middle East. Our highly customized solutions approach for family businesses has made us their trusted advisors over the years,” underlines Christophe Hentsch, managing partner and head of the Middle East.
