Aviva Investors Adds Former Lloyds Market Strategy Chief

, the global asset management business of Aviva, has appointed Charlie Diebel as head of rates strategy. He joins from Lloyds Bank, where he was head of market strategy, commercial banking. Before this, he was head of rates strategy at Nomura International, Aviva said in a statement. In this newly-created role, Diebel will be responsible for the collaboration between the emerging market debt and the developed market rates teams while coordinating the fixed income house view across the business.
Based in London, he reports to Daniel James, global head of rates and multi-strategy fixed income.
“Charlie brings an extensive amount of experience to Aviva Investors with a proven track record of success within fixed income investing. He will play a pivotal role harnessing the skills and experience of our global fixed income teams, coordinating views across the business and importantly into our multi-strategy team as we continue to focus on outcome-oriented solutions,” said James.
