Artemis Launches New Fund
Stephen Harris
9 February 2007
Artemis has launched a Luxembourg SICAV with three sub-funds to offer European investors. The three funds available will be based upon three of the company’s existing onshore range: Pan-European Equity Fund, managed by Philip Wolstencroft; Global Equity Fund, managed by Peter Saacke and the UK Equity Fund managed by Jacob de Tusch Lec and Mark Tyndall. All three sub-funds will use the proprietary SmartGARP stock ranking system. The sub-funds will be denominated in euros and will offer two share classes, Class 1 for institutional investors and Class A which is available to all investors. The UK Equity and Pan European Equity Funds also offer sterling denominated share classes. A full table covering Share classes and currency denominations may be found in “Notes to Editors”. Fund sales will be aimed at institutional investors primarily at private banks, wealth managers and multi managers. The SICAV will initially be marketed in Luxembourg, Switzerland, France, Netherlands and Sweden. The Pan European Equity and UK Equity sub-funds will also be offered in the UK market following regulatory approval. It will also offer one new option for UK based investors, as the European fund will include investment in UK companies.
