2 February 2007

As foreshadowed in WealthBriefing, offshore law firm Ogier has completed its merger with WSmiths to create a new offshore group providing legal and fiduciary services in nine financial centres internationally with over 600 professional and support staff. Ogier now has a presence in the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Ireland, Jersey, London, Montevideo and New Zealand. The firm pioneered offshore multi-jurisdictional growth when it combined with Boxalls in Cayman in 2003 to produce the first transatlantic merger of offshore firms.
