UK's BRI Wealth Management Hires Ex-Barclays Wealth Vice President

, an independently-owned company in the Midlands, is continuing its expansion with the appointment of Mark Speechly, ex-vice president of Barclays Wealth Birmingham office.
Mark’s previous experience includes 17 consecutive years as a Birmingham-based investment manager. He started his career in 1996 with Greg Middleton where he remained through a merger with Capel Cure Sharp which formed Gerrard; this company was eventually bought by Barclays in 2004.
“Mark will bring strong investment knowledge to BRI along with a very ethical approach to clients and a strong work ethic. He joins us at a very exciting time in our development and I look forward to making further additions to key personnel in the coming months,” said BRI chief executive Paul Cusack.
In May, BRI Wealth Management acquired Shropshire-based Walter Financial Planning for an undisclosed sum.
The move creates BRI’s second office in the Bridgnorth area, which Walter Financial Planning staff will continue to operate.
Following on the success of the acquisition, BRI will take the next step of its long-term growth strategy in the summer, when it plans to add three more staff to its 32-strong team.
The Meriden-headquartered firm offers investment and financial planning services, with clients including private investors, family trusts, charities, pension schemes and financial institutions.
