Invesco PowerShares Appoints UK Head Of Distribution

, the exchange traded funds business, has appointed Caroline Baron as head of Invesco PowerShares ETF Distribution UK as part of its ongoing programme to expand its European team.
In the newly-created role, Baron will be responsible for driving Invesco PowerShares’ distribution strategy in the UK, Invesco said in a statement.
She joins from iShares, Blackrock in London where she was responsible for the servicing of UK wealth managers, private banks and asset Managers. Baron began her career at iShares in 2006 with responsibility for sales to French institutional clients having previously spent five years with Credit Agricole Indosuez and IFX Markets.
The hire follows the appointment earlier this month of Bryon Lake as head of Invesco PowerShares ETFs for the Europe, Middle East and Africa market.
The firm says it is the world’s fourth largest ETF provider and was founded in the US in 2003. In January 2006, it became part of Invesco Ltd to take the brand beyond the US.
