Lausanne-Based Bank Changes Name

Lausanne-based Compagnie Bancaire Espirito Santo has renamed Banque Privee Espirito Santo. The bank, which had 126 employees and client assets of SFr4.3 billion ($3.45 billion) at the end of 2005, is owned by Espirito Santo Financial Group, which is listed in Lisbon, London, Luxembourg and New York. ESFG is 42.74 per cent owned by the public and 57.26 per cent owned by a company controlled by the Portuguese Espirito Santo family. Credit Agricole is a long-time partner of the group.
