London headquartered asset manager has hired industry veteran Rajaa Mekouar as a director.
She has been brought in to work on the company’s family office clients and ultra-high net worth individuals across Europe and selected international markets.
Mekouar has over 15 years of international professional experience, including six years as a principal at Lazard European Private Equity Partners and Change Capital Partners.
“Heptagon managed to significantly expand our investment products and capabilities during the last nine years, and is therefore able to cater to the needs of a wide range of institutional and private clients keen on tailor-made investment solutions,” said Tarek Mooro, managing partner at the firm. “We feel the time is right to make a bigger push into the private client market, which requires such customisation.”
Heptagon Capital was founded in 2005 by three Morgan Stanley senior executives - Eran Ben-Zour, Tarek Mooro and Fredrik Plyhr.
The firm now has $8.6 billion assets under management. In February this year it launched two new global equity funds on its Irish UCITS platform: the Oppenheimer Global Focus Equity Fund and the Kopernik Global All-Cap Equity Fund. This takes the number of funds on the platform to five.
