True Potential Strengthens Investment Arm With Two New Hires

Financial services and platform provider has appointed Sheriden Davy as head of risk and compliance and Colin Beveridge as chief investment officer.

Davy joins from BlackRock, where he was vice president of compliance monitoring. He has also previously worked at the Department for Work and Pensions and MyCSP.

Beveridge has previously worked at The Alliance Trust, where he was chief investment manager and at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, where he was an investment director. Most recently, he set up an evidence-based academic research and solutions consulting business called Long Horizon.

Last month, True Potential unveiled its latest distribution arm, named True Potential Associate Partners, adding to the existing distribution channels, True Potential Wealth Management and True Potential Advisor Services.

The firm has also launched True Potential Investor, a direct-to-consumer platform, for those with a minimum investment of £50 and appointed Laurie Edmans as non-executive director.     

True Potential provides technology and business support services to more than 22 per cent of the UK financial advisor market and financial advisory services for private individuals.
