The asset management division of Swiss banking group has appointed Greg Clerkson as head of global consultant relations to its London office.
Clerkson will also be responsible for overseeing relations with consultants throughout the UK and reports to head of asset management Charles Goodman, and head of European institutional sales and sovereign funds Florence Dard, the firm said in a statement.
He joins from Bluecrest Capital Management, where he was head of global consultant relations. He started his career in Toronto in 2001 with RBC Dominions Securities, the Royal Bank of Canada's brokerage services division, and then went on to join the parent company as investment strategy and asset allocation Manager for RBC International Wealth Management's global discretionary units. He moved to Russell Investments in 2010 and before moving on to BlueCrest Capital in 2012.
Last year, Edmond de Rothschild Group launched a London-based merchant banking business as part of its strategy to strengthen its high-end private client services in the city. Headed by Richard Briance, the move is part of the private banking group's plans to turn London into its fourth major business centre.
