UK investors will now have greater ease accessing AXA World Funds as the firm delivers 54 of its products to the British Isles.
Domiciled in Luxembourg, AXA Investment Managers’ range of funds is now registered for sale in the UK with UK Reporting Fund Status, complying with the Retail Distribution Review rulings. The AXA World Funds will be available to investors without commission and rebate payments.
The choice for to bring its funds to the UK is in line with a recent trend, where offshore funds are registering for sale in the UK. In doing so, it hopes to make these funds readily available for its advisors.
The 54 chosen AXA World Funds will offer clients a range of investment options. While the AXA WF Global Strategic Bonds offers fixed income and quarterly returns on global opportunities, the AXA WF Emerging Markets Short Duration Bonds invests in short-dated bonds in the emerging markets, giving investors long-term growth prospects while avoiding volatility.
“At AXA IM we would like to ensure that it is as easy as possible for advisers to access these funds. I hope that platform providers note this growing trend and consider including more offshore funds in their intermediary offering, to ensure an equal footing in the UK market,” Rob Bailey, head of UK wholesale distribution at AXA IM, said.
