Risk Management, Merchant Banking Specialist Creates Global Strategy Head Role

, a London-based operational risk management and merchant banking firm, has recruited former Goldman Sachs employee Martin Devenish as group head of strategy, a newly created role. At Goldman Sachs, he held a number of senior roles in equity capital markets in a career of over 20 years.  

 The firm, which has offices in 28 nations, describes itself as helping clients “achieve their goals by offering investment and advisory services, with a focus on real estate, energy and natural resources, private equity, infrastructure and clean technology, hand-in-hand with operational risk and project delivery expertise”.

“Our approach extends to our clients’ individual lifestyles, providing discreet and pragmatic advice and services including education, relocation and immigration advisory as well as security services,” it says of its business model.

In the past 12 months Salamanca has opened offices in Houston, US and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with a new office in South Africa to open shortly.
