RBS Names Three To Senior Roles In South Korea

The has strengthened its onshore coverage team in South Korea with a number of senior appointments, said the firm in a statement. The hires include Bryan (Bumshoo) Park as head of international banking, Korea, will be responsible for driving the bank's international banking franchise in the country, with a focus on local corporates, financial institutions and multinational corporates. He rejoins RBS from HSBC Korea, where he was the head of the financial institutions group, global banking. Prior to that, he worked at RBS and ABN AMRO Korea. Lee relocates from Tokyo to Seoul in January 2014 to drive the firm's transaction services business in Korea, across all product offerings from cash management to trade and supply chain financing. His new job covers origination and product management support for Korean corporates and financial institutions, as well as global corporates doing business in Korea. He joined RBS in 1999 and was assigned at the Singapore office before moving to the Tokyo office in 2006. In his new role, Oh will lead RBS' debt origination business in Korea. He also becomes the branch manager for RBS' securities business in the country. He brings over 20 years of experience to the position and has worked for Barclays Capital Asia, Deutsche Bank, UBS Warburg Securities and Bankers Trust. "These new appointments demonstrate our continuing efforts to strengthen RBS' franchise in Korea and across the region," said Sang Moo Lee, country executive, RBS Korea. RBS Korea is a part of the Edinburgh-based RBS Group, which serves over 30 million customers worldwide. RBS has an onshore presence in 11 countries across Asia-Pacific.
