Isle Of Man Wealth Management Firm Adds Two Senior Hires To London Team

Isle of Man-based wealth
management firm has added two senior hires in newly created roles,
both based in London. Karen Barretto joins the group as its new head of technical
services and will be responsible for adding to the firm's existing product
range. Debbie Mahanta has been appointed to the group’s business development
team and will be responsible for developing its private client network and
portfolio of corporate partnerships. The company said that the appointments came during a period
of expansion as the firm entered into a renewed five-year marketing and
business development strategy. Baretto joins from Barclays Private Wealth, where she was head
of UK
trust sales. Before this, she spent spent five years with Canada Life as
head of the trust and estate planning team and two years as a trust and tax manager with
MetLife. Mahanta has previously worked for UBS Zurich, Goldman Sachs
Zurich, Ardel Holdings and St James’s Place in a number of roles, including business
development, wealth planning and sales management.
