RR Advisory Group has some $780 million in assets under advisement and 20 employees in total. RR's existing management team and advisors will continue to direct day-to-day operations of the firm, which will remain headquartered in New York City.

The move is one of several initiatives undertaken by Mariner in recent months. The firm recently launched a trust company to offer clients trust and estate planning services, for example.
