Barclays Expands Business Development Team For New Benefits Unit

Following the recent launch of one-stop employee
benefits offering, Beyond Benefits, the firm has added James Brincat to its
business development team. Barclays Beyond Benefits was launched in September of this
year. Reporting to Richard Hilton, head of business development for Barclays
Beyond Benefits, Brincat will be responsible for bringing the offering to
corporate clients. The solution is delivered through a partnership of Barclays
Workplace Banking and its Corporate & Employer Solutions. The offering brings
together consultancy services, traditional employee benefits, share plans,
financial education and banking solutions, through a single portal. Brincat brings over 12 years’ financial services experience
across a range of sales and business development roles including three years
working as account director and head of partnerships at Thomsons Online
Benefits. The offering is part of the UK-headquartered banking group Barclays, which reported total assets of £1,533 billion ($2472 billion) in its interim financial statement from 30 June 2013.
