City Financial Launches Fund Service
Stephen Little
20 November 2013
London-based independent fund
manager is launching a fund research service for
advisors next spring. The new web-based service will
help advisors to streamline their business processes, providing enhanced
support in an after-Retail Distribution Review environment, the firm said in a statement. The Advisor Centre is being
developed by Peter Toogood and Gill Hutchison and will offer independent fund
research, together with general market and industry commentary for financial
advisors. The service will recommend around 100 established actively managed funds and will
include a "positive watch" list, a platform for commentary on younger
investment talent and product innovations. “The firm is in a position to
adapt and evolve its service offering as the requirements of advisers change.
We believe that the future of fund management firms lies in providing a
complete, solutions-based package of services, including fund research and
consulting," said Andrew Williams, chief executive officer, City Financial. In other recent
news, earlier this month
City Financial appointed
Phillip Lee as global fixed income manager.
