Mercer Adopts FE, Lipper For Advisor Portal

Mercer, the global investment consultancy and professional
services firm, has announced it is using FE and Lipper to provide the
technology and data for its Mercer Advisor Portal, or MAP, designed to boost
research services to the wealth management sector. FE provides nvestment data, software and performance analysis
to the financial services industry. Under the agreement with Mercer, it will
provide, through the Mercer-branded MAP tools, Mercer’s research analysis of
investment strategies combined with advanced analytical functionality. will use FE capabilities and data
in most markets outside the US.
Within the US,
Mercer and FE will be using Lipper as the main source of investment data,
Mercer said in a statement yesterday. MAP has been officially launched; Mercer has already
announced that it is being used by the US wealth management firm,
HighTower Advisors. Among recent wealth management developments at Mercer, in
late October, it appointed Steven Seow as head of wealth management in Asia. Seow will be based in Singapore. He is replacing Edmund
Teo who left Mercer in April to pursue other opportunities.
