27 November 2006
London-based Bramdean Asset Management, a multi-manager asset management business, is marketing a specialist UK equity fund, one of its in-house single strategy funds, to high net worth individuals, institutions and charities. The fund is managed by Andrew Green and Rachel Durkin who have worked with Nicola Horlick, chief executive of Bramdean Equity Managers, for a decade at Bramdean and previously at SG Asset Management. The fund, an Irish unit trust (under UCITS III regulations) launched in October 2005, has completed its first full year of trading and currently has £1 million ($1.9 million) assets under management. The aim is to seek out and invest in companies undervalued by the marketplace and to achieve total returns 3-4 per cent per annum above the FTSE All-Share through a concentrated portfolio of no more than 30 stocks.
