JP Morgan Private Bank Adds EMEA Equity Strategist

has appointed Pedro Gil as its EMEA equity strategist, based in London. Prior to joining JP Morgan, Gil served as lead publishing analyst covering the European food manufacturing and home personal care industries at Santander Global Banking & Markets in London. Before that, he was a research analyst at SAC Capital Advisors in New York, and prior to that he focused on equity long/short strategies at Fortress Investment Group. Gil began his career as an analyst at Goldman Sachs' investment banking division. Reporting to Leandro Veltri, head of equities for EMEA and Asia at JP Morgan Private Bank, in his new role, Gil will focus on identifying investment themes, sector trends and stock recommendations within European equities, the firm said. In other recent hires at the firm, last month JP Morgan Private Bank appointed Antoine Massoud as a senior banker for its Middle East private banking team.
