TD Waterhouse Promotes for UK CEO

TD Waterhouse, the UK-based execution-only broker, has appointed Angus Rigby as its new chief executive from 1 December 2006. He succeeds Michael Foulkes who is retiring at the end of the year. Mr Rigby will be responsible for leading wealth management businesses outside North America including TD Waterhouse in the UK and discount brokerage joint ventures in Luxembourg (Internaxx), Singapore and Japan. He joined TD Waterhouse UK as senior vice president for marketing and product in June 2002, and moved up to chief operating officer in August 2004. Before joining the UK business, he was managing director of Internaxx, the company's joint venture with Banque General du Luxembourg, based in Luxembourg. As well as providing brokerage services directly to retail investors under the TD Waterhouse brand, the company also runs the share dealing services of a number of other organsiations including Royal Bank of Scotland, NatWest and Computershare.
