The twenty-strong team is mostly made up of ex-Brewin Dolphin staff and includes senior investment managers David Coulson, Chris Hailes, Andrew Baker and Simon Hopewell, Charles Stanley said in a statement.

The new team also includes regional intermediary sales manager Adrian Sawyer and Christopher Stothard, formerly head of financial planning at Vestra Wealth.

Charles Stanley said that over the coming months the team will fully integrate with Charles Stanley and begin the process of bringing on-board new private clients and engaging with their extensive network of intermediaries, accountants, solicitors, charities and trusts.
