HSBC Launches Asia (ex-Japan) ETF

has launched an exchange traded fund that is designed
to capture performance of Asia (ex-Japan)
equities in the large- and mid-cap sector. The physically replicated product is called the HSBC MSCI Far
East Ex Japan UCITS ETF; it comes with a total expense ratio – a common measure
of fund costs – of 0.6 per cent. It tracks performance of the MSCI AC Far East
Ex Japan Index. The index gives exposure to China;
Hong Kong; Indonesia; Korea; Malaysia;
Philippines; Singapore; Taiwan
and Thailand. The ETF is domiciled in Ireland
and listed on the London Stock Exchange and Germany’s Deutsche Boerse. It is
available in sterling, euro and dollar trading lines. The product will be
registered for use in a number of European countries due to its UCITS status.
