Tom Burroughes
19 September 2013
Two of the most senior executives at Barclays’ wealth and
investment management arm, Emmanuel Fievet and David Semaya, are leaving the
UK-listed firm, this publication can exclusively report today. Fievet, who has been head of wealth management UK and Europe,
has decided to leave after five years in senior management roles. Henry Fischel-Bock is to replace Fievet and joins the wealth
and investment management executive committee immediately. He has spent
30-years in the industry and joined Barclays in February 2010 from
International Planning Group, a client advisory firm in Miami. It is understood that Fievet and Fischel-Bock
will work closely to ensure a smooth transition. Semaya, meanwhile, departs after starting his career at
Barclays in 2004, leading and growing Barclays Global Investors Japan. In 2006 he was appointed chief executive officer
for BGI EMEA and Asia ex-Japan. Semaya joined the
wealth and investment management business – then called Barclays Wealth - in
2009, leading its private banking business in the UK
and Ireland
until last year. To view other changes at Barclays, click here for this other exclusive report by WealthBriefing.
