Schroders Hires New Manager For Energy Funds

UK-listed has appointed Mark Lacey as a co-fund manager on the Schroder ISF Global Energy and Schroder ISF Small Cap Energy funds, effective 9 September.

Lacey will report to global head of equities Peter Harrison and will work alongside the global and international equities team, providing specialist energy analysis and stock recommendations, Schroders said in a statement.

He has over 17 years’ of investment experience in the global energy sector and joins from commodities trader Mercuria Global Energy Solutions.

Prior to this, he worked for Investec Asset Management as co-fund manager of  the Investec GSF Global Energy and Investec GSF Enhanced Global Energy funds. He joined Investec from Goldman Sachs in 2008, where he was co-head of the energy team.

In other recent news, last month Schroders expanded its UK strategic solutions team with the appointment of Rosalind Mann.
