Accountancy Giant Appoints New Head Of Insurance

has made Hieronymus Dormann head of the insurance
division at KPMG Switzerland. Dormann has been with KPMG since 1985 and will use his
experience of auditing and advising insurance companies, when helping national
and international clients with insurance-related issues. Taking up the position on 1 October 2013, Dormann replaces
Brian Greig, who is returning to KPMG Australia. His responsibilities include
managing services for insurance companies, such as audit duties, assessing
regulation issues, actuarial and quantitative risk management and providing
advice on tax, legal and operational matters. Dormann became a partner at the firm in 1997, serving as
head of audit financial services until 2003. He is also a member of the
Treuhand-Kammer (Switzerland’s
institute for certified accountants), and currently chairs its specialist
insurance commission.
