Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management Names LatAm Wealth Head, Based In Geneva

number of senior hires in recent weeks, yesterday announced that former senior
Credit Suisse executive Felipe Godard will join as a managing director and head
of wealth management, Latin America, effective October 1. Godard will be based in Geneva
and report to Haig Ariyan and Chip Packard, co-heads of wealth
management, Americas, and into the executive management board
of the Swiss banking entity, chaired by Marco Bizzozero, CEO, Deutsche
Bank Switzerland, and head of wealth management for Europe,
the Middle East and Africa. "Latin America is
strategically important to our wealth management franchise,” Packard said in a
statement from the Frankfurt-listed bank. At Credit Suisse, Godard was head of advisory, solutions and
investments for the Latin American Private Bank. Prior to joining Credit Suisse
in 2010, Godard worked for JP Morgan in Geneva
for 11 years where he headed the Latin American team and later took
responsibility for the Eastern European and Swiss markets for the private bank. There have been a flurry of appointments at the wealth and asset
management business, which oversaw €940 billion of client money as at
the end of June this year. In June, Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management appointed
Raphael Zagury as head of key client partners and wealth investment advisory
for Latin America from Bank of America Merrill
Lynch. Antonio Braun joined from JP Morgan as a senior relationship manager,
focusing on the Mexico
market. Caroline Kitidis
joined in August as head of key client partners and wealth investment advisory
for the Americas,
having previously worked at Goldman Sachs. In August, Richard Glass joined as US head of small-
and mid-cap value equities at the firm. In addition, Richard Hanlon and Mary
Schafer joined the firm, reporting to Glass. Glass, Hanlon and Schafer are
based in New York. In the UK,
the firm appointed Jonathan Kent as head of financial intermediaries
distribution for the UK and Ireland, reporting to David Morrow, the head of UK
distribution and global client group.
