Clearbrook Global Advisors Hires Duo For Business, Marketing Team

, a privately-held, independent investment management firm, has appointed two senior industry professionals, Michael Mahoney and Thomasin Bentley, as the firm continues to expand its business development and marketing team. Mahoney, with more than 30 years’ experience in investment and advisory roles for institutions, pensions, non-profit, foundations and endowments, has joined the firm as managing director of business development. Prior to joining Clearbrook, Mahoney was a senior vice president at Pyramis Global Advisors, responsible for business development and client service for Taft-Hartley clients. Before that, he was regional vice president at ULLICO, responsible for investor relations and business development for J for Jobs, and investment products for the east coast. Mahoney began his career as a financial advisor at Kidder Peabody and is Series 7 and Series 63 licensed. Bentley brings more than 17 years of experience to Clearbrook in all areas of brand, strategic marketing, business and partnership development for institutional and asset management firms. In his new role as director of marketing, Bentley is responsible for coordinating Clearbrook’s marketing efforts in the institutional space. Prior to joining Clearbrook, Bentley was director of new business development and media sales at New York Road Runners, a New York-based non-profit organization, where she was responsible for business development and media programming for corporate partners of the ING NY City Marathon and other events. Formerly, Bentley was vice president and director of institutional marketing at Hartford Investment Management, where she directed marketing strategy and communications for HIMCO’s $100 billion institutional investment management channel. Before that, Bentley spent eight-years at Credit Suisse Asset Management with responsibilities for global marketing, client service, and product development for institutional and high net worth clients. She began her career at John Hancock Funds in 1996. Clearbrook Global Advisors currently has more than $30 billion in assets under advisement.
