Wealth Management Executive Search Firms Join Forces

Two wealth management executive search firms with a global reach, Culliford Edmunds
Associates, and Norman Alex, have formed a business alliance to exploit the
global extent of each other’s business network. Norman Alex, which has office in Monaco, Geneva and Paris,
will complement the services of Culliford Edmunds Associates, which has offices
in London with associates in New York and Singapore, Dudley Edmunds, one of the
founders of Culliford Edmunds, told this publication in a phone call last
Friday. Under the arrangement, Culliford Edmunds will effectively be the London office for the
combined firms. “I have known Ivor Alex for a number of years and regard him as a head-hunter of considerable
integrity and as such I think the strategic alliance will be a very strong one,”
Edmunds said. The alliance may also hint that the executive search sector
is seeing the same kind of restructuring that has affected the wealth
management industry that these businesses work with. Each of these executive search businesses caters to
different client types in different localities, so the association between the
two businesses represents a good fit without duplication of roles, Edmunds
said. “It is going to be a very mutually beneficial relationship,”
Edmunds added. Norman Alex was founded in 2003. In addition to the offices
already mentioned, it also has a partner operating in Dubai,
Singapore and Hong Kong. It is also active in Latin America out of Miami and Sao
Paulo.
